Sunday, May 30th, 2010. 16:30Community Meal (May)
May is our last scheduled meal before summer. But that doesn’t mean the Open Table needs to shut down until September. At our May meal, we’ll see who’s around for the summer and discuss what plans are appropriate for our community between then and September.
Event Details
The Open Table envisions community to be a place where healing takes place and justice is lived out.
Every month we come together for an open community meal. We eat. We meet. We reflect. And we connect – with each other, with God, and with the community. As we do so, in community with one another, we try to work out what it means to be faithful in the midst of work, school, family, and relationship. In short, our community seeks to encourage one another as we connect the dots between faith and real life.
May is our last scheduled meal before summer. But that doesn’t mean the Open Table needs to shut down until September. At our May meal, we’ll see who’s around for the summer and discuss what plans are appropriate for our community between then and September. If people are around and have a desire to keep meeting in some form, we’ll do that. So come be part of the discussion, especially if you’re around for the summer and looking for community.
Our meals are hosted by the Anglican Parish of All Saints Sandy Hill (317 Chapel Street at Laurier). Doors open at 4.30pm, and the table is set for 5.00pm. We hope to see you there!
